Editorial Guidelines & Disclosures

Published: July 20, 2026

At TechDaily, we strive to deliver accurate, balanced, and independent reporting on the African technology ecosystem. Our credibility is our most valuable asset. This document details the standards and guidelines that our journalists, contributors, and editors follow.

1. Accuracy & Verification

We verify our facts before publishing. We seek primary sources whenever possible (such as official company releases, public policy drafts, or direct interviews with founders and representatives). If we publish rumors or unverified statements, we will explicitly frame them as such to ensure readers are not misled.

2. Editorial Independence

Our editorial decisions are entirely separate from our commercial partnerships and advertising deals. Advertisers, investors, and sponsors have no influence or advance vetting rights over the stories we publish, the products we review, or the opinions expressed by our staff.

3. Sponsored Content & Transparency

To support our operations, we may occasionally partner with companies to publish sponsored content or advertorials. To ensure complete transparency, we adhere to the following rules:

  • All paid or sponsored articles will be clearly labeled as "Sponsored", "Partner Content", or "Advertisement" at the top of the post.
  • We do not accept payment to review products or write positive coverage. Paid partnerships are restricted to announcements, event summaries, or general educational contents.

4. Corrections Policy

We commit to correcting errors promptly. When an article contains a significant factual error:

  • We will edit the article to correct the error as soon as it is brought to our attention.
  • We will append a "Correction note" at the bottom of the article explaining what was changed and when the correction was made.
  • If you spot a mistake, please let us know by emailing editor@techdaily.buzz.

5. Sourcing & Attribution

We credit other publications when we build on their reporting or quote their findings. Plagiarism in any form is completely unacceptable in our newsroom.

6. Contact the Editor
